Most of my Shiragami costume is altered thrifted finds. I altered a sweater for her vest and I altered a long sleeve blouse for her top. Most of the work on this costume went into the custom printed plaids for her school uniform. I based my designs off of the Manga over the anime because they were slightly more detailed. I had both the bow and skirt fabric printed at spoonflower and the designs are available for anyone else to use for their costumes here.
The skirt was printed on Spoonflower poplin and lined. The bow was printed on Spoonflower sateen and interfaced with fusible interfacing. It has a pin back on it to attach to the vest.
For the school patch on the vest I used the stencil method and painted the emblem onto some blue quilters cotton. I then used heat n bond to adhere it to a felt backing and satin stitched the raw edge.
The wig is a straightened curly style originally from Cosplay.com.
