Pokemon Go was at it\u2019s peak of popularity and the allure of a costume that didn\u2019t require a wig to wear during a 6 hour judging block was too strong to resist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For this costume I used a combination of fully constructed and altered purchased pieces. I made the jacket and jumper from scratch and altered a pair of leggings, hat and shoes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I used a commercial pattern as the base for the jumper and created a mock up in stretch material. I then used this mock up to draw on all of my seamlines and accent elements. When I took it apart I had my base pattern. I wanted all of the accents to be set in as opposed to appliqued on.I used a blue scuba as the base and blue ultrapreme for the accents around the chest and sides. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The jacket also started with a commercial pattern for a sweatshirt. I just cropped the arms and torso.
