Working on Shampoo was a challenge because of the lack of reference material for this movie. After watching the movie several times and taking screen shots I began working on the mock up for the dress. Using a pattern with princess seams as a base I created the one shoulder bodice. The waist piece is a large rectangle that is gathered and tacked in place to the lining. The outer skirt is a double circle skirt that is gathered at the waist line. There is a small opening in the back waist and bodice to allow the oversized bow to slip into. The whole dress separates with a separating zipper on the left side.

The large bow is is faced with interfacing and netting. There is a channel along the edge that millinery wire is fed through so the bow maintains its shape. There is a wire pice sewn into the back that slips into the dress and his held in place with a waist cincher worn under the dress.

The hair accessories are faced taffeta attached to clips. The shoes are painted with fabric paint and the ribbon wraps have elastic in the back to slip them onto the leg and velcro that holds them into the shoes.

The wig is styled by C.C. Cosplay
