In August I FINALLY managed to attend one of my lolita communities’ events, a 21+ brunch. I’ve been interested in lolita fashion for years but it’s very hard for me to fit wearing it into my daily life so I save it for meetups and conventions…and it’s still hard for me to fit it in.

When my community had a 21 and up event I cleared my calendar and made sure I could make it! I was not missing a meet up specifically for the adults. Can anyone say Mimosas?

Black and Cream lolita fashion outfit

Outfit Breakdown:
Wig: Gothic Lolita Wigs
Bollero/Headpiece: Handmade
Blouse: H&M
Skirt: Bodyline
Boots: Target
Necklace: Angelic Pretty

I went simple with this outfit but I still really like it. It’s all black and cream with a few pops of burgundy in the socks, necklace and my new Colourpop metalic lipstick, which I layered over a dark brick red. It was really popular for a while to go totally OOT (over the top) with coordinates but that trend seems to be dying down. I appreciate that because I think at heart I’ve always done best when my coords are more basic and toned down. Since it was August and I live on the sun I went with some scrunched down socks and bare legs which I will totally do again because I think it’s cute as hell with booties.

Here’s hoping it doesn’t take me over 6 months to make it to my next meetup!
